The house to stay in is La Vida Magica, situated right in downtown Merida.
The place
The first two sections of La Vida Magica are restored from the 1800s and everything beyond that is brand new construction. The house sits on three lots and is like a fortress with ultimate privacy. The builder is Ian Arthur Smith. Arthur is originally from Europe but has lived in L.A. for a spell before moving to Merida. His homes are very well known, as is his reputation for being an extraordinary builder.
When you enter La Vida Magica, you are stepping out of the hustle and bustle of city life and into your own private oasis. Entering through the gates of this house will take you away to another place, we promise! This lovely home has a huge living room with a nice fountain right at the entrance. All bedrooms include air conditioning and high ceilings keeping the rooms nice and cool. They also have their own private bathrooms. The courtyard is magical with its gorgeous swimming pool and lush tropical gardens. A lovely hammock hangs where you can relax with ice-cold refreshment. If this isn’t paradise, we don’t what is!

Upon your arrival, your party will be personally greeted for a tour of the property and to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you all your needs have been met. We want you to have the best experience possible. Our wish is for you to relax and pamper yourselves while you are here. The Neighborhood
The home is located in one of the best areas of downtown Merida. It’s a short walk to the great restaurants, world-class museums, Plaza Grande, El Paseo Montejo, and Museo de la Ciudad de Mérida. Walking distance to the main attractions of the city. You can enjoy the nightlife, where there is a party going on any night of the week, and walk back to your private oasis.
Merida is an amazing city to visit. There is so much to see and do in and around the city. The best way to experience this, however, is to live the way the locals do and not in an expensive, stuffy hotel. Come stay in at a bed and breakfast in Merida and enjoy the life that the people of Mexico enjoy.
