This amazing brand new house feels like a resort hotel! We’ve created an atmosphere and environment where one can escape life, at least for a little while. This dream house sleeps 8 and is a combination of indoor/outdoor living. There’s an amazing energy level throughout the house and the vibe is even more magical at night. You can just stay in the house and have an incredible time, but with so much going on all around you, we don’t recommend that!

Out & About in Merida

Located in downtown, close to main square and a lot of cultural activities. Just minutes to fabulous shopping malls, upscale restaurants, doctors, the zocalo or Plaza Grande, Merida’s main square. Only 20 minutes to Progreso Beach, and within one hour drive you will find dozens of Mayan ruins, cenotes and so much more that the Mayan Yucatan Peninsula has to offer.

Enjoy historical and colonial surroundings where you can eat authentic Mayan foods, buy local crafts, listen to Mayan and Mexican music, watch local dancing, and so much more. Every night there’s something going on in the heart of the city. You will never ever run out of things to do.

Food

Almost every street in Merida is sprinkled with restaurants. From cocinas eonomica ( cheap kitchens)  and sandwich carts to New York City chic Italian restaurants to Mexican and Yucatecan cuisine, you will never go hungry! And it is difficult to find a bad place to eat! If you are from the east coast in America and you have an affinity for bagels, this might be your only sacrifice!

Vida Magica has a full kitchen if you like to prepare your own food. A ten-minute walk brings you to an amazing food market called Chedraui. Saturday mornings you can take an Uber to the Slow Food Market. It’s the local farmer’s market where everything is fresh and natural and is brought to you by Merida locals and Expats.

We can easily arrange personal drivers, tours, catering and almost anything you can dream up. Yes…we have a guy for almost everything!

And did we mention that Merida is safe? Forbes Magazine, for three years, declared Merida one of the safest cities in Mexico. They went on to say the Merida is the place to live, work, and invest. That is very impressive. It is also one of the cleanest cities you have the pleasure of walking through and very tranquil. After a couple of days, you will understand my passion for this amazing city. The locals are also amazing. Everyone I’ve met is extremely friendly and caring. The value of family is held in high regard as it should be. Standing in front of the house waiting for an Uber or friends to picks us up, people in the neighborhood will walk by and greet you with, “Hola!” or “Buenas dias!” or “Buenas tardes!” or “Buenas noche!” Smile and you will almost always get a nod or smile back from anyone you pass on the street. There is a huge sense of community throughout Merida. It’s very Old School in its way. I love that!
